Monday, March 12, 2018
10:22 Hours – Fire fighters responded to an alarm activation on Faludon Dr. On scene fire staff met with the homeowner who advised that the smoke alarms in the home had activated. Fire staff flipped the breaker in the panel to reset the smoke alarms. Turned the breaker back on and the alarms all appeared to be functioning as designed.
Tuesday, March 13, 2018
19:32 Hours – Fire fighters responded to the report of a gas leak on Guelph St. On scene fire staff checked the area and noticed a smell of gas inside the building. After some investigating, fire staff found a leak at the rear outside meter and one inside from one of the ovens. The ovens were shut down and a notice to the building owner was issued. Union Gas was responding to attend to the matter.
21:20 Hours – Fire fighters responded to the report of a possible structure fire in the area of Steeles Ave & Trafalgar Rd. On scene fire staff met with the homeowner. Their fireplace is visible through a sliding door and a passer-by thought the fire in the fireplace was an actual house fire. No issues found.
22:50 Hours – Fire fighters responded to the report of a two-vehicle motor vehicle collision in the area of Guelph Line & 25 Sideroad. Halton Regional Police were on scene upon arrival. Fire staff applied absorbant to leaking fluids and cleared the scene.

12:49 Hours – Fire fighters responded to an alarm activation on Winston Churchill Blvd. On scene fire staff were advised that a contractor had accidentally pulled the pull station. No further concerns.
Thursday, March 15, 2018
05:11 Hours - Fire fighters responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) activation on Mowat Cr. On scene fire staff entered the home and using detectors found zero readings. Fire staff replaced the faulty detector and cleared the scene.
10:46 Hours - Fire fighters responded to an ambulance assist on Regional Road 25 in Acton. On scene fire staff provided patient care until Halton Regional Paramedics arrived.
23:15 Hours - Fire fighters responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) activation on Forsyth Cres. On scene fire staff entered the home and using detectors found zero readings. Fire staff replaced the battery and tested the unit with no further concerns.
Saturday, March 17, 2018
15:40 Hours – Fire fighters responded to the report of a possible chimney fire on Churchill Rd S in Acton. During fire staff’s investigation, and after speaking with the homeowner, it was discovered that the homeowner was barbecuing. No further concerns.
17:33 Hours – Fire fighters responded to an alarm activation on Chapel Street. On scene fire staff was advised that cooking had caused the alarm to sound. Crews confirmed there were no issues and cleared the scene.

15:16 Hours – Fire fighters responded to the report of a grass fire on First Line in Milton. The tenant was burning a pile a wood which got out of hand. The fire involved grass, a tree, skids and a wooden trailer. The fire was quickly knocked down with Milton fire arriving to extinguish any hot spots.
19:21 Hours – Fire fighters responded to a carbon monoxide (CO) activation on Jason Cres. On scene fire staff entered the home and using detectors found zero readings. The CO detector was deemed faulty and a replacement was provided.

Before your child enjoys their bike this spring, make sure to complete a visual inspection of their helmet for any damage and to make sure the helmet is less than 5 years old. Also check that their helmet fits correctly. If their helmet is damaged, is greater than 5 years old or does not fit correctly purchase your child a new helmet this spring.
