Today at approximately 12:24 pm Harrison Public School sent out a message to parents notifying them of an anonymous phone call they received regarding a bomb threat.
At approximately 1:30 pm Halton Regional Police Service sent out a tweet regarding the threat and that measures were put in place to keep staff and students safe.
At approximately 2:30 pm Halton Regional Police confirmed via Twitter that the investigation was complete and that the threat was unfounded, subsequently the school was re-opened.

Georgetown Public School Evacuated after Bomb Threat
On January 27, 2020 at approximately 12:00 pm the Halton Regional Police Service responded to Harrison Public School in Georgetown after a bomb threat was received by the school.
The threat came directly to the school by telephone. As a result, the school was evacuated and searched by police. Once the investigation was complete, the threat was deemed to be unfounded and students and staff were returned to the school.
The Halton Regional Police Service would like to thank staff and students for their cooperation with this morning's investigation and speedy evacuation of the building.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and there is no known related further threat to public safety.
