Two Charged with Possession of Fentanyl and Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
Two persons have been charged with drug possession and drug trafficking charges after a routine traffic stop by Halton Regional Police Service officers in the Town of Oakville.
On May 13, 2019, officers were conducting proactive patrols in the area of Cross Avenue and Trafalgar Road in Oakville when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop, officers developed grounds to believe the two occupants were in possession of a controlled substance. The driver and the passenger were both placed under arrest. A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, and cannabis.
Courtney JESHURON (27) of Mississauga was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking (6 counts) Trafficking a controlled substance Possession of a controlled substance
Rennay HARRIS (26) of Brampton was charged with:
Possession for the purpose of trafficking (3 counts) Trafficking a controlled substance
Both accused parties were held in custody pending bail hearings.
On May 14, 2019, the Halton Regional Police Service executed a search warrant at JESHURON's residence in the City of Mississauga. While searching the residence, officers located additional crack cocaine and oxycodone.
In total, the Halton Regional Police Service seized approximately:
Fentanyl (11 grams) Cocaine (8 grams) Crack cocaine (2.8 ounces) Oxycodone (4 tablets) Cannabis (42 grams)
The estimated street value of the controlled substances seized is $6,000.
