Twisters advance to Round 3
Over the past two weeks the remaining 9 teams in the play-offs have been busy playing in both LLFHL play-offs and OWHA provincial play downs. Both the Novice A and Atom AA teams have already advance to LLFHL championship weekend at the end of March in the GTA. The Atom BB team is still competing in round 2 as they have until March 24th to complete the series. All three of the Twisters Peewee team have advanced to round three along with the Atom B team. Unfortunately, the Midget A and B teams have been eliminated from play-off contention. For full team recaps see below.
Novice A vs Oakville
GM1: 7-5 win
GM2: 6-2 win
Next Opponent: LLFHL Final Four March 29-31 (Durham West, Whitby, North York)
The Novice A team continued their dominant play downing the Oakville Hornets 2 games to none in round 2 of the play-offs booking their spot in Lower Lakes Final Four Championship Weekend at the end of March. The Twisters will face the Durham West Lightning, Whitby Wolves and North York Storm during championship weekend, they will play each team once with the top 2 teams after the round robin playing for gold and the bottom two teams fighting it out on the ice for LLFHL Bronze.
Atom AA vs Oakville
GM1: 2-1 win
GM2: 2-1 loss
GM3: 2-1 shootout win
Next Opponent: LLFHL Final Four March 29-31 (Stoney Creek, Peterborough, ?) Markham or Whitby
The Atom AA team downed the Oakville Hornets 2 games to 1 in the best of 3 series. The Twisters took the Hornets to the final breaking point needing a shoot out to determine the series winner. The shootout went back and fourth but it was ultimately Kalleigh Cromwell who shut the door in net and Olivia Shamblaw who netted the shootout winner to send the AA team to championship weekend on March 29-31. In LLFHL Final Four the AA team will face Stoney Creek, Peterborough and either Markham or Stoney Creek pending the result of game 3 between the two teams.

Atom B vs Buffalo
GM1: 0-0 tie
GM2: 0-0 tie

Next Opponent: Stoney Creek
The Atom B team played a close series against Buffalo where the picked up 3 shutouts and a 1-0 win to take the series title. Eden Boycott has been a force on the back end for the Twisters Atom B team this season as the teams only goalie she has had to hold her own in the crease. Boycott has picked up 14 shutouts through the regular season and play-offs and the Atom B team will once again look to Boycott to shut the door as they take on the top ranked Stoney Creek Sabres in round 3 of the play-offs. The Twisters split the season series with the Sabres picking up a 3-1 win and a 3-1 loss.
Peewee A vs Barrie
GM1: 4-1 win
GM2: 1-0 win
Next Opponent: Clearview
The Peewee A regular season finalists had a strong series against the Barrie Sharks picking up 2 huge wins to advance to the third round of the playoffs where they will face the Central Division regular season champions the Clearview Icecats in a 3 game series. In the regular season the Icecats held the upper hand on the Twisters with the only win in the regular season series. The Twisters will need to play some of their best hockey of the season in order to defeat the Icecats and advance to championship weekend.
Peewee BB vs Woolwich
GM1: 1-0 win
GM2: 2-1 win
Next Opponent: Kitchener
The Peewee BB team downed the second place Woolwich Wild in 2 games in round 2 of the play-offs. The Twisters will now have their hands full as they play the Peewee BB Central Division champion in round 3 of the play-offs. During regular season meetings with the Kitchener Lady Rangers, the Twisters tied the Lady Rangers once but also picked up 3 losses along the way.
Peewee B vs Toronto Leaside
GM1: 4-3 loss
GM2: 2-2 tie
GM3: 4-1 win
Next Opponent: Georgian Golden Hawks
The Peewee B Central Division champion Twisters will face the second place team in the Central Division the Georgina Golden Hawks in round 3. Two points separated the two teams at the end of the regular season and round 3 is set to be a back and fourth battle between the two squads. The Golden Hawks ultimately hold the upper hand on the Twisters defeating them in both regular season match ups. The Twisters will look to use home ice to their advantage in the series as majority of their wins have come at home this season.
Midget A vs Saugeen-Maitland
GM1: 5-0 loss
GM2: 4-2 loss
Midget B vs Flamborough
GM1: 3-0 loss
