Suspect Arrested in Circle K Robbery in Georgetown

The Halton Regional Police Service has arrested a male responsible for a robbery of a Georgetown convenience store.


On July 16, 2023, at approximately 9:50 am, a male suspect entered the Circle K located at 10 Mountainview Road South in Georgetown. Armed with a large kitchen knife, the suspect demanded an employee hand over the contents of the cash register. The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash. No physical injuries were reported.


At approximately 11:30 am, an officer observed the suspect in the area of Guelph Street and Sinclair Avenue in Georgetown. The suspect was arrested at that time.


Ryan Lynch (24) of no fixed address was charged with:

  • Robbery

  • Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose


He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
