At approximately 2:31am on the 13th of September 2021, the Halton Regional Police Service was notified of a single motor vehicle collision that had just occurred on Leighland Avenue at Robarts Road in the Town of Oakville. The initial investigation revealed that a Toyota Corolla sedan was eastbound on Leighland Avenue approaching the intersection with Robarts Road when it lost control and left the roadway. The vehicle was occupied by two Oakville males, the driver being 19 and passenger 18.
After losing control, the vehicle struck a hydro box and came to rest on the lawn of a residence. Both occupants sustained serious but non-life threatening injuries. The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are asked to call 905-825-4747 ext: 5065.
