Serious Motorcycle Collision in Burlington (Sept. 13, 2019)

Serious Motorcycle Collision in Burlington On Friday September 13, 2019 at approximately 1235hrs, Halton Regional Police were dispatched to a personal injury collision on Snake Road, south of Crane Court, in the City of Burlington. Initial reports from the scene were that a motorcycle had crashed and the rider was seriously injured. Emergency services personnel attended the scene and provided care for the injured male rider, a 27 year old resident of the City of Hamilton. He was subsequently transported to a local trauma centre with a serious head injury. Due to the nature of the injury, the Collision Reconstruction Unit attended the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation. Investigators determined that the motorcycle was travelling southbound on Snake Road, when the rider lost control while navigating a left bend in the road. The rider and the motorcycle came to rest in the ditch on the west side of the roadway. A witness, who was travelling behind the motorcycle, assisted police with the investigation.
