Halton Catholic District School Board has just sent an email informing them that picket lines will take places on Monday.
The email reads as follows:
"Dear Parents and Guardians,
We have just been informed that information picket lines will be present at each of our school locations on Monday, February 3, 2020.
The information picket lines will be present on school property before and after school only, and regular instruction for Monday, February 3, 2020 will proceed as scheduled.
Picket lines for the purposes of information sharing are a legal part of a lawful strike. Please anticipate that this may impact traffic flow and cause potential minor delays in parking lots as you drop off or pick up your child from school.
Please note that all schools will be CLOSED to students on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 as per the email you received earlier today.
We appreciate your patience and understanding during this period of job action. We will continue to focus on the needs of our students and families, and will do our best to minimize disruption to the learning environment in each of our school communities.
Halton Catholic District School Board".
This is one of the many actions teachers unions are taking around Ontario to protest the Ford's Provincial Governments changes to education.
