Pedestrian-involved Collision in Burlington

At approximately 5:43pm on December 12th, 2021, the Halton Regional Police Service was notified of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Ironstone Drive just east of Appleby line in the City of Burlington. Initial investigation revealed that a 91 year old female pedestrian was crossing Ironstone Drive from north to south when she was struck by a car driven by an 81 year old male. The pedestrian was not using a crosswalk, she sustained serious injuries and was taken to Hamilton General Hospital where she remains in stable condition. The driver remained on scene and cooperated with police investigation. Both involved individuals are residents of Burlington. The road was closed for approximately 3 hours for the investigation.
