Pedestrian Fatality - Burlington

Shortly after 10:20 am on Friday, June 19, the Halton Regional Police Service received a call regarding a pedestrian who had been struck by a transport truck at Harvester Rd. and Appleby Line in Burlington. As a result of this collision, a female in her 60s was, tragically, pronounced deceased. Next of kin have been notified. Our Collision Reconstruction Unit remains on scene to conduct an investigation. Harvester Rd. between Appleby Line and South Service Rd. will be closed for several hours, and we are asking motorists to avoid the area and take an alternate route. Anyone who witnessed this incident, or anyone with dash cam footage from the area at the time of the collision is asked to call our Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065. Members of our Victim Services Unit were also deployed to the scene to provide support and assistance to all involved.
