Acton's Town Hall became the centerpiece of the community as over 700 pumpkins were displayed during this cherished event. Residents from across town contributed their carved pumpkins, reinforcing the significance of this annual gathering.
As the event concluded, BCI Landscaping and Wagon Wheel Landscaping assisted in transporting the pumpkins from the Town Hall to Cody's Cows, a local Acton farm, where they will be used as feed for the farm animals.
During the event, The Mexican Way, a local restaurant, served over 550 caramel churros to those in attendance. Julian Cruz, the owner of The Mexican Way, commented on their participation, stating, "We enjoy it because we feel we are part of the community. It's about sharing with each other, right?" Hot chocolate was also available to attendees, supplied by McDonald's.
Holly Ellis, a volunteer at the event, provided feedback about this year's promenade, noting it was "way better than last year."
Sarah Brophy-Platts of Coldwell Banker Escarpement Realty, one of the event organizers and sponsors, shared her perspective on the gathering, saying, "I love seeing the community out socializing, eating together, and drinking hot chocolate together. Everybody brought their puppies; it was cute." Brophy-Platts also acknowledged the teamwork behind the scenes, mentioning, "The three of us that run the event here, Carolyn, Chris, and I, put in a lot of hard work leading up to the event."
With the conclusion of the Pumpkin Promenade, Acton's community spirit was once again prominently showcased.
