Officers shot in Burlington

Officer-involved Incident in Burlington At approximately 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 22, 2018, the Halton Regional Police Service responded to an incident at a gas station located at 875 Appleby Line in Burlington. Two Halton Police officers were injured during this incident and have been transported to hospital where they are receiving treatment for non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. There is no ongoing related risk to public safety. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is on scene and has invoked its mandate. All inquiries for additional information should be directed to the SIU.
