On Saturday, July 11, 2020, at approximately 6:50 p.m., Halton Regional Police Service officers were called to the area of 2325 Trafalgar Road in Oakville in response to a report of an intoxicated male who was yelling and swearing at people passing by. The man was reportedly drinking an open can of beer and was sticking his head into people's vehicles. Officers located the man in the area of Iroquois Shore and Trafalgar Road in Oakville. The male proceeded to assault a police officer, and was subsequently arrested. Once in custody, the man spat directly into the face of an officer, and continued attempts to fight. Scott MacIntyre (32) of Oakville has been charged with: Aggravated Assault, Assault with Intent to Resist Arrest, Cause Disturbance, Fail to Comply with Probation and Public Intoxication. MacIntyre was held for a bail hearing. Please be reminded that all persons charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
