Join the Halton Hills Public Library for Firefighter Storytime


HALTON HILLS, ON/ October 29, 2019 – The Halton Hills Public Library welcomes everyone to the 2019 season of Firefighter Storytime with Halton Hills Firefighter Mark Burger.


This hugely popular and educational storytime runs throughout the month of November, at various locations across Halton Hills. Join Firefighter Mark as he delights children and parents alike through reading and play acting from a book, dancing to music, teaching commands like “stop, drop and roll” and educating about the dangers of fire and what to do in an emergency.


Mark, a father himself, has devoted his time and energy to storytime for five years and loves every minute of it. No registration is required and the community is invited to join Firefighter Storytime at any of these locations:


HHPL Georgetown Branch


Tuesday, November 12, 11 – 11:30 a.m. Saturday, November 16, 11 – 11:30 a.m.

Gellert Community Centre


Friday, November 15, 10 – 10:30 a.m.

Acton Arena


Tuesday, November 19, 10 – 10:30 a.m.

HHPL Acton Branch


Wednesday, November 20, 10 – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 23, 11 – 11:30 a.m.


“It’s something I really enjoy and because it’s such an important topic and aligns with my career, I enjoy bringing it to the community”, says Mark Burger. “The children have so much fun; plus, they are being educated in fire safety prevention at the same time”.
