HALTON HILLS, ON/ June 15, 2022 – The Halton Hills Public Library (HHPL) is offering students supportive and welcoming spaces, along with extended hours, to study for exams and to complete end of year assignments.
HHPL provides, safe, welcoming and inclusive spaces for students to study for exams, or to complete any end of year assignments, through the Exam Cram program. From June 18-23, HHPL will provide extra study space, study aids and resources, stationery, and study snacks for students working at either branch.
For the very first time, the Library will also be offering extended study hours for students through Exam Cram Lock-in. Students will have the opportunity to stay at the Library until 10 p.m. from June 20-23 at the Georgetown Branch, and from June 21-23 at the Acton Branch. Students must be in the Library before 8:30 p.m. to take advantage of the extended hours. Checking out items to take home will end at 8:30 p.m.; however, the Library’s spaces and resources (study snacks) will be available to students until 10 p.m.
“Exam time is a particularly stressful time for students,” says Jodie Mandarino, Youth Services Librarian. “So, we decided to extend our hours and offer additional resources to help students succeed in a supportive and comfortable environment.”
As always, your Library provides access to bookable private study rooms, millions of physical and online resources, accessible spaces, printing services, computers, free WiFi, and much more.
