The Halton Hills Public Library is excited to announce it was successful in its application to the provincial “Culture Days @ the Library” program. This special designation, offered to 10 libraries across the province, provides HHPL a dedicated page on the Culture Days website, including a full list of activities happening at both the Acton and Georgetown branches, and a featured status for the library page on the new Culture Days website. HHPL joins the likes of Toronto, Burlington and Brampton who were also given the designation and will be celebrating in the Culture Days event from September 27-29, 2019. The Culture Days @ the Library program has been supported by Ontario Culture Days since 2011. Halton Hills Public Library has participated in past years, however this year libraries were required to apply in order to participate in this program and to secure one of only 10 slots province wide. HHPL was successful in their application and will now be a featured as an official Culture Days @ the Library location. “We are very excited to be chosen and given this designation says, Beverley King, Manager of Community and Adult Services. “Halton Hills Public Library will be hosting a wide variety of events at both our branches and we hope the community will join us to create, participate and share throughout this wonderful weekend event. It’s also a great opportunity to learn more about HHPL’s programs, venues and arts & culture opportunities year-round.” For well over a century the Halton Hills Public Library has provided spaces for people to relax, create, imagine, innovate and collaborate. With branches in both Acton and Georgetown, HHPL has become a main provider and presenter of arts and culture events in the community. For Culture Days, the Library will host FREE hands-on activities for all age groups in a range of artistic disciplines.
