HALTON HILLS, ON/ March 8, 2023 – The Halton Hills Public Library is thrilled to announce the return of the Halton Hills FANFEST – the only fandom event of its kind in Halton Hills – at the Georgetown Branch on Saturday, April 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FANFEST invites every one of every age to come and celebrate their fandom at the library. Don your favourite costume and socialize with other cosplay lovers for a day of fun, laughter, and fandom pride!

• Marvel trivia
• Retro video games
• Crafts and Activities

Gather your friends and family and pander to the camera in the photobooth, strut your stuff and ‘become’ your hero at the Cosplay Parade, meet a variety of ‘special guests’, take part in fun creative activities and programs, and don’t miss the Artist’s Alley. There’s something for everyone at Halton Hills FANFEST 2023!
"We are very excited to celebrate Halton Hills Fanfest2023 with the community once again," says Emma Lupinacci, Youth Services Librarian.
"Geek/fandom culture continues to grow in popularity and people love to share their passion for a certain movie, book series, character or video game with other people, either online or in person at various conventions. In the past, fans in the Halton Hills area would have to travel to other cities to share and celebrate these interests but now they can celebrate in person, right here at home!”
