Appointment effective February 19, 2019 The Board of Trustees of the Halton District School Board is pleased to announce Roxana Negoi has accepted the position of Superintendent of Business Services and Treasurer of the Board. She is expected to start her new role on Tuesday, February 19, 2019. As Superintendent of Business Services, Negoi will lead the business functions of Financial Services (including Treasury and Risk Management), Planning, Purchasing and Procurement, and Transportation. Negoi is currently the Superintendent of Business and Treasurer at the Halton Catholic District School Board (HCDSB), a role she has held since 2016. Prior to that Negoi was Senior Manager of Financial Services (Controller) with the HCDSB, and Senior Regional Auditor with the Regional Internal Audit Team based at the Waterloo Region District School Board (regional host board). Negoi’s earlier experience included the role of Manager, Advisory Services with Ernst and Young. In addition to holding Supervisory Officer Qualifications, Negoi also has Certification in Risk Management Assurance (CRMA), is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA). “I know I speak for the trustees and members of the senior leadership team in welcoming Roxana to the Halton District School Board,” says Stuart Miller, Director of Education for the Halton District School Board. “Roxana’s leadership, career experience and commitment to education will be an invaluable addition to our senior administrative team.” This vacancy was created by the retirement of the current Superintendent of Business Services and Treasurer, Lucy Veerman, announced in Fall 2018.
