The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) 1 District Street Crime Unit has concluded a firearm investigation in Milton with one arrest and multiple charges.
On April 8, 2022, investigators executed a search warrant at a residence in Milton and seized an illegal handgun (see attached photo).
As a result of the investigation, Daanish Butt (29) of Milton has been arrested and charged with the following:
Unauthorized Possession of a Restricted Firearm
Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized
Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
Contravention of Storage Regulations
Possession of a Firearm with a Deface Serial Number
Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order (2 counts)
