At approximately 8 PM on Saturday April 22nd, 2023, a 44 year old female resident of Oakville was driving her white Honda Civic northbound on Trafalgar Road, north of the QEW. At the same time, an 89 year old male resident of Oakville was walking with the assistance of his walker near the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Marlborough Court. The car fatally struck the pedestrian as he crossed the road. The intersection was closed for approximately 4 hours for investigation. The Collision Reconstruction Unit assumed the lead role in the investigation with support from Forensic Identification Officers and other uniformed members. A member of the Regional Coroner’s Office also attended the scene.
