Drug Investigation Leads to Seizure of Significant Quantity of Opioids and the Arrest of a Suspect On April 24, 2019, members of the Drug and Human Trafficking Unit concluded an investigation into an accused party involved in a drug transaction in the City of Burlington. As a result, one suspect was arrested and a large quantity of drugs was seized. At the time of the arrest, a search revealed a significant quantity of fentanyl and other opioids. A Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant was subsequently obtained and executed at the residence of the arrested party in Stoney Creek. Items (approximate values provided below) seized include: 1000 Fentanyl pills 20 grams of Purple Fentanyl 24 grams of Cocaine 400 Oxycodone pills 400 Hydromorphone pills 400 Codeine pills $4000 Canadian currency Scales, packaging and other indicia consistent with trafficking​ Arrested and held for a bail hearing in relation to this investigation is Joseph CASUCCIO (62) of Stoney Creek, Ontario.
