Criminal Charge laid in relation to August 18th E-Bike collision

Criminal Charge laid in relation to August 18th E-Bike collision Shortly after midnight on August 18th 2019, a motor vehicle collision occurred in the northbound lanes of Trafalgar Road north of Lower Base Line in the Town of Milton. The subsequent investigation by uniform officers and the Collision Reconstruction Unit has determined that a northbound Jeep Compass driven by 24 year old Haleigh HUTCHINSON of Burlington collided with the rear of an E-Bike driven by a 35 year old man from Mississauga. The rider was transported to Hamilton General Hospital in critical condition as a result of severe head trauma where he remains with life altering injuries. Haleigh HUTCHINSON is charged with one count of Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance – Causing Bodily Harm contrary to the Criminal Code with an appearance date of December 16th 2019 in Milton. A reminder that all accused are innocent until proven guilty.
