Construction wraps up at Cedarvale Playground

HALTON HILLS, ON – The Town of Halton Hills is pleased to advise that the Cedarvale Park playground replacement project is near completion. The new playground was designed to be inclusive and collaborative, featuring unique and engaging play equipment that can be enjoyed by users of all ages and abilities. The Cedarvale Park playground project was funded with an approved budget of $385,000. This investment underscores the Town’s commitment to providing high-quality, safe, and engaging play spaces. The new playground includes a variety of features such as a jungle net rope climber, rope basket saucer swing, double spring rider, supernova spinner, bee spring toy, leaf climber, sand and water area and a sensory tunnel with musical and tactile components. These are just some of the many elements aimed at providing a fun and stimulating environment for all children.

Community input played a crucial role in shaping the design of the playground with many residents contributing their ideas and feedback.

“This playground will be a magnet for our kids,” said Mayor Lawlor. “Climbing, stretching, exploring and having fun with their friends is all possible with this amazing equipment. I wish I was brave enough to try out the jungle net myself.”

Construction will be completed November 30 and families are invited to visit the new Cedarvale Park playground to experience the joy and benefits of inclusive play.
