At approximately 5:05am this morning (5/6/21) Shoppers Drug Mart in Acton was broken into and had multiple items stolen. Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) were notified by alarm and arrived on scene at 5:13am. Suspects had fled the scene before police arrived.
Staff Sgt. Martin for HRPS told Acton UP “ We arrived on scene at approximately 5:13, the alarm came in at 4:55, but we were not notified until 5:05, and we were on scene at 5:13”. Martin also told us that there were 2 suspects who had used a vehicle for the robbery, but did not have a description of the vehicle or the suspects at this time and are in the process of pulling video footage.
The suspects had gained entry through Shoppers Drug Mart’s front doors by smashing the glass of the doors. Police could not say the items that had been taken.
