Board hosts 11th Annual Parent Involvement Committee Conference on Saturday, October 13, 2018 in Oakville
Event to be held at Garth Webb Secondary School; registration is now open.
The Halton District School Board’s Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) will be hosting the 11th Annual Parent Involvement Committee Conference on Saturday, October 13, 2018, from 8:15 a.m. – 2:10 p.m., at Garth Webb Secondary School in Oakville (2820 Westoak Trails Blvd). The theme of the conference is ‘Future Global Competencies: Imagining Possibilities, Inspiring Success’. Registration is now open.
This year’s conference features Canadian entrepreneur/author Amber Mac as the keynote speaker, who will address the accelerating pace of corporate culture in a digital economy.
The 2018 PIC Conference theme will provide a variety of engaging workshops that address topics such as Collaborative Problem Solving, Financial Literacy Resources, Robotics in the Classroom, Digital Citizenship, Homework Help, Mental Wellness and Wellbeing, Technology Education, Google Classroom and Mathematics, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics), Empowering Learning to Lead by Design, new I-STEM Program coming to Aldershot High School (Fall 2019), and more.
