Georgetown Market Place to be the epicenter of a retro ride extravaganza on July 9, promising a bigger turnout than last year's 500 visitors and 200 classic cars. GEORGETOWN, July 7, 2023 - Bennett Village has begun the countdown to their annual 'Cruising for Care' Classic Car Show fundraiser, inviting all the 'Daddy O's,' 'Cool Cats,' and 'Groovy Peeps' who have a soft spot for classic cars and everything nostalgic. This year's theme, 'Summer Fun', promises to transform the event into a delightful throwback experience. Set to take place on Sunday, July 9th, between 10 am and 2 pm, the much-awaited event will be hosted once again at Georgetown Market Place. Attendees can expect a spectacular display of classic cars, retro tunes, and a carnival-like atmosphere, promising a 'far-out' experience for all. Street Classic Cruise is set to support the event, with a backdrop of nostalgic tunes provided by MJF Collector Car Appraisals. The synergy of classic cars and old-school music is expected to teleport attendees back in time, recreating the magic of the bygone era. Last year, the event attracted over 500 visitors and boasted a lineup of over 200 classic cars. This year, the organizers are optimistic about surpassing these numbers, guaranteeing a bigger and better experience. Families are encouraged to join in the fun, unwind with fabulous classic rides, dance to swinging tunes, and indulge in delicious treats. To make the day even more exciting, attendees can participate in summer giveaways, silent auctions, and a 50/50 draw. Entry to the event is free of charge, however, attendees are welcomed to make donations. All proceeds from the event will be directed towards supporting the Bennett Centre Long-Term Care residents' programs and facilitating the purchase of essential equipment. "We thank you for your support and hope you can make the scene; it’s going to be outta sight! " said a representative from Bennett Village. The 'Cruising for Care' Classic Car Show fundraiser invites everyone to journey back in time and enjoy a summer day filled with nostalgia and charitable deeds.
