Arrests made in rural Burlington
On the 29th of January 2020 shortly before midnight, a resident of a house in rural Burlington observed a male and female park near their house. The male and female exited the vehicle and began searching the area with a flashlight. The resident immediately contacted the Halton Regional Police Service and provided a description of the vehicle and suspects. Officers arrived in the area a short time later and discovered that the vehicle had been stolen from the City of Guelph. Officers searched the area and located both suspects who were placed under arrest. Jacob Malott (27) of Guelph has been charged with: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 Trespassing at Night Breach Probation Fail to Comply with Undertaking Fail to Comply with Release Order Jennifer Keats (33) of Guelph has been charged with: Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000 Trespassing at Night Possession of Break-in Tools Obstruct Peace Officer Fail to Comply with Release Order x 2 Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Melissa Parsons of the Burlington Criminal Investigations Bureau at (905) 825-4747 ext. 2307.
