Arrest Made in Break In and Theft of Auto from Oakville Residence

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) has arrested a male party as a result of a residential break and enter and theft of motor vehicle investigation. Overnight on August 10, 2021, the suspect entered an Oakville residence while the home owners were sleeping, stole the keys to a motor vehicle that was parked in the driveway and then subsequently stole the motor vehicle. After leaving the area, the suspect then fraudulently used several of the victim’s credits that the suspect had located within the stolen vehicle. As a result of the investigation, officers were able to identify the suspect.


Charged is:

Ranjodh Kingra (22) of Brampton

  • Break, Enter and Commit

  • Theft of Motor Vehicle

  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime

  • Fraudulent Use of Credit Card


Kingra was released on an Undertaking.


Police would like to remind residents of the following tips to help protect themselves from these types of incidents:

  • Lock the door from the garage into home

  • Lock your vehicles

  • Remove garage door opener from vehicle if possible

  • Illuminate your exterior and driveway at night
