Acton car destroyed by vandalism

Between Wednesday (October 2nd) evening and Thursday morning on Brock Street in Acton, a vehicle was destroyed by vandalism. The 2013 black Ford Focus (as shown in pictures) had its windows smashed, was keyed all around the car, had tires slashed, and tar and paint poured on the car. Victims of the attack believe it was a targeted incident. The car belonged to a 17 year old male from Acton who wishes to remain anonymous. The mother of the youth (who also wishes to remain anonymous) reached out to Acton UP with the pictures and story. “I’m disappointed that this would happen in Acton”, she said. The family is hoping anyone with any information or video would reach out to the Police or Crime Stoppers. Acton UP also reached out to Halton Regional Police Service who stated… “ In the early morning hours of October the 3rd when this specific vehicle was targeted for unknown reasons, there was more than one vehicle in the driveway at the time yet only this one vehicle was the one that was damaged”, said Staff Sergeant Foster, he continued, “It is still under investigation and if any individuals have information that they would like to provide to police or crime stoppers to give us a call”. The male victim claims the book value of the car is $7300, and now according to the tow truck company is a total write off.
