2025 Budget Kicks Off October 15, Ward Meetings Later this Month


 

HALTON HILLS, ON. - The staff recommended 2025 budget is now available on the Town’s engagement platform, letstalkhaltonhills.ca. Visit the site to find key information about the impact to taxes, important dates and frequently asked questions.


Chris Mills, Chief Administrative Officer noted that: “The staff recommended budget is focused on maintaining existing services, responding to legislative changes and delivering on Council’s strategic plan.” Mills noted that investments were focused on three key areas:

• Investing in the state of good repair, asset management and facility operations;

• Enhancing by-law enforcement delivery and

• Ensuring emergency services grow with the community.


New this year, are 4 Councillor-led meetings to provide residents the opportunity to learn more about the staff recommended budget.


“Councillors and I want to speak one-on-one with residents and hear their thoughts on budget priorities,” said Mayor Ann Lawlor, adding, “Following the budget consultations, I will be introducing a revised Mayor’s Budget which adjusts the staff recommendations, and which Council will then discuss. I hope that residents will read up on the budget at letstalkhaltonhills.ca where they can also share their thoughts and then attend one of the ward meetings to speak with members of Council.”


The ward meetings are drop-in style between 6 and 8 p.m., with opening remarks at 6:15 p.m.  Ward Councillors and the Mayor will be in attendance at the following events:
